500 Internal Server Errors

Problem

You see the following error message:

500 Internal Server Error

Cause

This error indicates that there was a problem while processing a request. Usually, this is due to an issue with a customization or in your PHP configuration.

Solution

Enable WHMCS error reporting or, if you use a self-hosted WHMCS installation, review the PHP error_log file to determine the exact error.

If you use shared hosting on a cPanel & WHM server and don’t have direct access to the PHP error_log file, go to cPanel’s Errors interface (cPanel » Home » Metrics » Errors) to view recent error log entries instead.

If the error is due to a third-party module or customization, remove the module or customization and confirm whether this resolves the error.
