Problem #

On a WHMCS Cloud installation, you notice one or more of the following issues:

• The Configure Database Backups, Manage Storage Settings, or Update WHMCS permissions do not appear at Configuration () > System Settings > Administrator Roles.
• You see an Oops! Access Denied error when attempting to access the following interfaces:
  • Configuration () > System Settings > Database Backups
  • Configuration () > System Settings > Storage Settings
  • Utilities > Update WHMCS.
• The Setup automated daily backups task does not appear in the Setup Tasks list at Configuration () > System Settings.

Cause #

WHMCS Cloud manages database backups, storage settings, and system updates for you.

Because of this, WHMCS Cloud automatically disables and hides the corresponding admin permissions at Configuration () > System Settings > Administrator Roles on WHMCS Cloud installations.

Solution #

This is expected behavior for WHMCS Cloud installations.

WHMCS Cloud automatically handles database backups, storage management, and system updates for you.
