Problem #

You see the following message in the WHMCS Admin Area:

Invoice immutability is disabled. We have deprecated the ability to edit invoices and we will remove the option to enable invoice mutability in a future release.

You may also see an Invoice Immutability warning at Configuration () > System Health.

Cause #

You have configured your system to allow invoice editing (invoice mutability) for non-Draft invoices.

Solution #

Update your business’s workflows to eliminate the need to edit non-Draft invoices as soon as possible. Then, update your WHMCS configuration.
