Schedule Automatic Updates
This information only applies to self-hosted WHMCS installations. WHMCS Cloud updates WHMCS for you automatically.
You can configure WHMCS to apply maintenance releases automatically on a schedule that you set, without starting each update yourself.

Set your Schedule
To configure unattended automatic updates:
1. Go to Update WHMCS.
In the Admin Area, go to Utilities > Update WHMCS.
2. Click Configure Update Settings.
Click Configure Update Settings in the top-right corner.
3. Enable automatic updates.
Find the Automatic Updates for the Current Version section and check Apply Automatic Updates.
4. Choose a frequency.
Select a frequency of Weekly or Monthly, and then select the day of the week or the day of the month to run updates.
5. Choose a time.
Select the time of day to run updates.
Choose a time when your system experiences the least traffic. For more information, see Unattended Automatic Updates.
6. Save your changes.
Click Save Changes.
The system saves your settings immediately and applies them at the next run of the Automatic Update Run system cron task.
