If you see a popup containing an error message as below when attempting to Sign in using Facebook, this indicates that your app is still in development mode and needs to be set to public mode:

App Note Setup: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered
test user or ask an app admin for permissions.

Does my App require approval by Facebook?

From August 2018, access to some permissions and features of the Facebook API require review by the Facebook team. The WHMCS Sign-In Integration uses the following permissions:

  • public_profile
  • email

These permissions do not presently require approval for use. Therefore you can continue to use your Sign-in with Facebook app without submitting it for approval.
