Manually Renew a Domain
You can manually renew domains with your chosen domain registrar.
Manually Renew a Domain
To manually renew a domain with a registrar:
- Go to the desired domain in the client’s profile’s Domains tab.
- Click Renew under Registrar Commands.
- The system will immediately send a renewal request to the domain registrar.
- If the request succeeds, the expiry date will update.
- If you are handling payment for the renewal manually, increment the Next Due Date value for the domain.
Stop Automatic Renewal Requests
If the system has already generated an invoice for the domain and Automatic Renewal on Payment is enabled, the system will send another domain renewal request to the registrar when the client pays the invoice.
To stop this second renewal request:
- Go to the desired domain in the client’s profile’s Domains tab.
- Click View Invoices to find the domain renewal invoice.
- Copy the line item and amount for the domain from the existing line to a new invoice line item.
- Click Save.
- Delete the original line item from the invoice. This removes the actual link to the domain and ensures that the system will not send the automatic renewal request on payment.
