Email Marketer

You can schedule automated emails to send to your clients when certain events occur or they meet certain criteria. For example, you can configure an automated email to send 10 days after a client registers with you. To do this, you can create and configure marketing rules for each automated email that you want to send.

You can access this feature at Utilities > Email Marketer.

Creating a Marketing Rule

To do this:

  1. Click Create New.
  2. Enter a name for the marketing rule. Only admins will see this name.
  3. Select a Type option:
    • Select Client Related to set criteria for the client’s information (for example, the number of days since registration).
    • Select Product/Service Related to set criteria for the client’s services (for example, whether a client has an active service for a specific product or addon).
  4. Under Criteria Options, select the criteria that the system will use to send the marketing email and the email template to send.
    • If you selected Client Related, you can configure the following criteria:
      • Days Since Registration — Enter a number of days. The system will send the email when this number of days have passed since the client’s registration date.
Enter 0 to send the email every day. We recommend entering a value of 1 or greater.
      • Minimum Number of Active Products/Services — The system will send the email if the client’s total number of active services is equal to or greater than this number. Use this to send emails to your highest-value customers.
      • Maximum Number of Active Products/Services — The system will send the email if the client’s total number of active services is less than or equal to this number.
    • If you selected Product/Service Related, you can configure the following criteria:
      • Product/Service/Addon — Select a product or addon. The system will send the email if the client has a service for your selection. Press Ctrl and click to select multiple products. When selecting multiple products, the system will send the email to clients who have any of the selected products.
      • Product/Service Status — The system will send the email if the service that you select for Product/Service Addon is in the status that you select here. Press Ctrl and click to select multiple statuses. When selecting multiple items, the system will send the email to clients who have any of the selected products with one of the selected statuses.
      • Number of Days and Days Filter Type — Enter a number of days and select whether to use the days after ordering or the days before renewal. The system will send the email if the client has a service that matches your selection.
Enter 0 to send the email every day. We recommend entering a value of 1 or greater.
      • Does Not Have Product/Service — The system will send the email if the client does not have a service for the selected product or addon. This is useful for sending personalized upselling messages. If you select multiple options here, the system will send the email if the client does not have any one of your selections.
      • Does Not Have Addon — The system will send the email if the client doesn’t have an active service for this addon.
  5. Check Marketer Rule if you do not want to send this email to clients who have opted out of marketing emails.
  6. Click Save Changes.

The next time that the system cron runs, it will send the selected email template to the clients who meet your specified criteria.

Disable a Marketing Rule

You can disable rules if you want to stop sending the emails but do not want to completely delete the rule.

To do this, click Edit for the desired rule, check Disabled, and click Save Changes.
