Change the System Charset
The system character set determines how WHMCS handles many special characters. If you alter this value in your WHMCS configuration, you must also save the relevant language files again using the new character set.
Change the System Character Set
To change the system character set:
1. Go to the Localisation tab in General Settings.
Go to Configuration () > System Settings > General Settings.
Choose the Localisation tab:
2. Choose a charset.
Select the desired value for System Charset.
3. Save your changes.
Click Save Changes.
4. Save the language file in the desired encoding.
Open the WHMCS language file that you use from the lang
directory of your WHMCS installation in your preferred text editor (for example, Notepad).
Save the file as the desired encoding type (for example, in Notepad, go to File > Save As and select the desired encoding for Encoding Type).
5. Upload the file.
Upload the altered file to the lang
directory.
