Email Template Syntax Errors

Problem

You see a syntax error when troubleshooting email-related issues at Configuration () > System Logs.

Cause

Syntax errors are usually due to invalid code in the email template.

Solution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Note the exact error and line number that appear at Configuration () > System Logs.
  2. Go to Configuration () > System Settings > Email Templates.
  3. Click on the affected email template to edit it.
  4. Correct the errors on the affected lines.
  5. Click Save Changes.
