Problem #

You see the following error while attempting to send email:

Email sending aborted.

Cause #

This error indicates that an unknown issue has prevented the email from sending.

This commonly occurs when there is a configuration issue with the file paths at Configuration () > System Settings > Storage Settings.

Solution #

Update the storage settings at Configuration () > System Settings > Storage Settings.
