Instant Issuance Failures

Problem

Instant Issuance fails for a MarketConnect SSL certificate purchase, and you see one of the following errors when you click View Order for the associated order in the Products/Services tab in the client’s profile:

Standard DCV Polling — The Instant Issuance token is not deployable
Standard DCV Polling — The Instant Issuance token could not be acquired
Standard DCV Polling — DigiCert could not validate the Instant Issuance token
Standard DCV Polling

These errors also indicate that the system used standard DCV polling to complete the process.

Cause

The error that you see indicates why Instant Issuance failed:

Error	Cause
`Standard DCV Polling — DigiCert could not validate the Instant Issuance token`	DigiCert™ could not resolve the domain, could not find a required file, or found unexpected contents in a required file.
`Standard DCV Polling — The Instant Issuance token could not be acquired`	MarketConnect failed to provide an Instant Issuance token.
`Standard DCV Polling — The Instant Issuance token is not deployable`	The server’s control panel could not deploy a certificate using Instant Issuance.
`Standard DCV Polling`	Instant Issuance failed due to another unspecified error.

Solution

These errors also indicate that the system used standard DCV polling to complete the process. You do not need to perform additional actions to install the SSL certificate. However, you may want to check your configuration to prevent future similar failures.
