Problem #

While provisioning an account on a cPanel & WHM server using the cPanel module, you see the following error:

Sorry, a group for that username already exists

Cause #

An account with this username already exists on the server. This error can occur on shared servers if another reseller has an account with this username.

Solution #

Change the hosting account’s username and run the Create command again.
