Problem #

When attempting to delete a server from the list of servers at Configuration () > Servers, you see the following error:

You cannot delete a server while hosting accounts are still assigned to it

Cause #

To delete a server, you must first reassign the server’s hosting accounts and other services within WHMCS. This includes any cancelled or terminated services and services for inactive clients.

Solution #

Reassign each hosting account and other assigned service on the server to another server in WHMCS. You can retrieve a list of all of the server’s assigned hosting accounts and other services at Clients > Products/Services.

Workaround #

If you want to retain the server’s assigned services for record-keeping purposes, change the status of the server to Disabled instead.
