Missing Zip Extension Errors

Problem

You see the following error while attempting to create a dataabase backup for your WHMCS installation:

Database backup unavailable due to missing required zip extension

Cause

This troubleshooting information only applies to self-hosted WHMCS installations.

The ZipArchive PHP class is missing from your PHP configuration.

Solution

Enable the ZipArchive PHP class and recompile PHP.
